LED Lights do save energy and money

A good result is pursued in any domain. Inventive ways of producing electricity were applied during this decade but until recently, nobody cared about ways that could lower the consumption while keeping the results. Huge quantities of electricity are dissipated every year on ineffective building and public space lighting and this can come to an end by adopting LED lights.

One single light bulb will function for more than 50000 hours or 11 years of continuous operation . The usual light bulbs are only used a couple of hours a day so they would actually work for more than 20 years with no replacements needed. In contrast with tungsten bulbs or compact fluorescent bulbs, the advantage is obvious . The only thing that stops the technology from mass usage is the higher initial price.

Buyers  usually purchase a CFL lamp that would last for a short time, with most of the energy converted into unwanted, wasted heat . This new technology allows that, almost all the energy sucked in is converted into useful illumination that is directed to where it is needed, and this means huge savings in maintenance costs.  If only one lighting source from a normal residence would be changed to LED lights the maintenance costs will be 20% lower. These new systems do not have moving part, the main weakness of tungsten bulbs and are suitable even for extreme conditions. They are also safer. Many people do not realize this, but the lighting sources we are used to tend to get very hot and usually are made with substances like mercury so they may generate a fire. These systems do not heat up even if you use them all the time.

In the light of global warming and the disasters that result from it , people and governments are think about their impact on the environment. This technology is the perfect choice for for people who care about the environment as it is a green technology and it does not emit harmful infrared or ultraviolet radiation and it does need to be manufactured often so less residues are  generated.

The electromagnetic radiations are not bad to the vision and the light can be of various colors, for art applications. LED lights at the beginning was only red, but this changed and many colors are now available. Moreover, it is compatible with a number of new technologies and it is used for multiple functions as it is found in various forms and can even be installed in the old fittings.

The system is not limited only to lighting up buildings or streets. It can be very efficient and can lower the amount of energy needed in various application and is used in reading lamps, Christmas light, art lighting, car lights and many other things. The light is brighter, the source is more resistant and real results are seen anywhere it is used .
